MPAC as a Classroom for Bryn Athyn College
The Mitchell Performing Arts Center is a highly valued facility of Bryn Athyn College. Mimi Mitchell, a long-time supporter of the performing arts, donated the building to Bryn Athyn College (and the Academy of the New Church Secondary Schools) so that it might augment studetns' experiences in higher education.
Bryn Athyn College utilizes MPAC for acting classes, lectures, internships, an annual theatrical production, and as a workspace for all aspects of performing arts education. A variety of opportunities are provided in hopes that students will come explore the many aspects of theater and find one that inspires them as individuals. Involvement in theater teaches students important life skills such as time management and teamwork, and also shows them how art can positively impact the lives of an audience. The adrenalin, excitement, and constant inovation that happens in this theater enriches the lives of Bryn Athyn College Students every day.
